6connect Security Update – log4j(CVE 2021-44228)

by | December 20, 2021

Since December 9, computer programmers have been working tirelessly to remediate vulnerabilities to log4j, a chunk of code that helps software applications track their past activities. A bug was discovered in log4j that is straightforward to take advantage of and gives hackers access to the core of the system they are trying to invade.

This vulnerability, CVE 2021-44228, allows for remote code execution using the log4j code base. 6connect software products do not use log4j code.

Our team will continue to monitor the situation and send an official notification should anything change.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact 6connect Support.
