First Steps for Setting Up ProVision – Part 1 [Video]

by | September 23, 2015

ProVision, 6connect’s unique Dynamic Network Provisioning (DNP) platform uses a robust Connector Library to automate the provisioning, configuration, and control of devices across distributed networks present in datacenters around the world. This video will help you get started with setting up ProVision and will give you an idea of the first steps to take to work in ProVision.

Before you begin, ask yourself a few questions:

  • What time of components are you currently tracking? What components do you wish to track in ProVision?
  • What is your current data structure? What is your ideal data structure?
  • Who needs access to what data?
  • What components do you wish to track in ProVision?

Here is a conceptual overview of ProVision’s Resource and Permissions systems, as well as a few things to think about when setting up your ProVision instance.

“We decided to move our rather complex IP address and DHCP management process to ProVision and it has worked out great for us!! The team at 6connect were very flexible and went above and beyond to accommodate our requirements and helped to make the migration as smooth and hitch free as possible. Kudos to the team @ 6connect!”
